About

Carol with Barb Garton, the President of the Jamie Aaron fan club.

Philadelphia, Philly Carol has  always loved music. As a child she lived in theKensington neighborhood of Philadelphia,  in the late fifties and sixties. Her love of music started as a little girl making memories with her father Carl singing, playing, and recording music in their kitchen. The great sounds of Ray Charles, Bing Crosby, and Nat King Cole were just a few of the many songs that came from Dad’s record player. When dad was at work her mom Dolores always played records and sang her songs around the house.

Music would always surround her , spending summer days. listening to her sister and her friends playing their 45’s on the front step. Then when visiting her grandparents she would peek down the steps, and watch her uncles and friends, in the basement dancing to The Twist, The Mashed Potatoe, and The 81. Carol says growing up in the fifties and sixties was a lot of fun! That is why she enjoys Cruisin with the oldies on Cruisin 92.1.

She says that music always makes her “happy!”
